WORLD FOOD WEEK
Donate between the 11th and 16th of October to receive our multimedia package full of great resources
World Food Day is celebrated on 16 October to commemorate the founding of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Across the world, governments, businesses, NGOs, civil society organisations, and individuals come together to express their support of the FAO’s efforts to better food systems in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The theme for this year’s World Food Day is “Better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life”. The different components of this theme encompass ideas across the spectrum of food production and consumption, as we understand it today.
The FAO proclaims, “The future of food is in our hands.” We could not agree more.
In line with this year’s theme, as well as our intrinsic nature as a food-centric organisation, Million Meals Mission brings to you a multimedia package as an expression of our gratitude for any donations made during the MMM World Food Day 2021 week. Within the package are 10 recipe cards of our favourite recipes, a video tutorial for one of the recipes, as well as blogs and infographics for two of the recipes. The package features the special care that has been taken to create and curate resources to cater to as diverse a set of preferences as possible.
At Million Meals Mission, food is entrenched within our ethos. Through this initiative, we’re grateful to be able to further both parts of our mission: to provide meals to food insecure communities across the world and raise awareness about food insecurity.
We take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our efforts and to remind you that we’re still counting on you. We’re also incredibly excited to be able to connect with you via this new offering. From all of us here at MMM, Happy World Food Day – we look forward to celebrating with you!
